European Tour 2005
A great double concert
arrives in Spain in February. The American group,
California Guitar Trio,
and the new project of Argentinean musician,
Guillermo Cides, will
offer a series of concerts presenting their new works.
The acclaimed guitarists and collaborators of Robert
Fripp, the California
Guitar Trio were frequent guests in the concerts
of King Crimson, and they arrive for the first time to Spain
in a European tour in which they present their new album,
“White Water”
(Inside Out-Mastertrax), produced by Tony
Levin. The CGT play guitars with a different tuning
(Guitar Craft tuning), and an unusual technique; they have
surprised the musical press with a spectacle that shows
their virtuosity and deep concentration with a variety of
styles that go from rock to classical. They have played
with great musicians such as John
McLaughlin, Tony Levin (King Crimson, Peter Gabriel), Jon
Anderson (Yes, King Crimson), David Sylvian, Tito Bridge,
Leftover Salmon, Taj Mahal, Steve Lukather, Simon Phillips
and Adrian Legg. Theirs is truly a unique guitar
concert.
Captivating and mesmerizing, we also present Cides,
continuously writing chapters in the world of instrumental
music; he will present a formation in trio based on rock
pieces, folk and world music but played with atypical instruments
like the Zanfona -a medieval
instrument executed with masters by Adriá
Grandía and incorporating modern technologies
of sound-, Cidão
on electronic/primitive Brazilian percussion and Cides on
Stick the instrument
of 10 strings that mixes bass and guitars.
